They're NOT that big!!!

 

Honestly, there not that big!  My ears!  They are not that big. Honest!


I'm going with the belief that if a camera adds 10 pounds, than it can add a couple of inches to my ears!  That's my story and I'm sticking to it!


The one thing I do like a lot about this photo is that it shows how tough I am!  Just look at my ear on the right.  There's a chunk of it missing.  Yup, I was quite a rebel-rouser when I was younger.


I was a street cat and often got into fights for shelter.  More than once I put a cat in the hospital.  I fought for the houses they were in, not for the food they ate.  I could find food, in other people's bins, or the occasional mouse or bird, yet that never replaced what I craved the most.


Those other cats had warmth and love and were cuddled everyday.  They seemed so happy, it was something I wanted.


Today, I'm a happy comfortable housecat and don't miss being cold and wet outside.  I love my cuddles and I love that I can relax so much that my purring can be heard throughout our home.

I'm waiting!  That's right I'm waiting.  I'm so excited to show my mum what I've been up to.  Soon she'll walk through that door, walk upstairs, and I'll surprise her by singing Happy Birthday. Though at times, I think dad was losing patience with me.  I mean it's quite easy to confuse the words Happy Birthday with Happy Furday! Either way it's her birthday and I'll sing it the way these humans do it.  But if it was up to me, I'd be shouting from the roof tops, Happy Furday Mummy!!! Got my eye on you!

 When I lived on the streets for my own safety I usually slept with one eye opened.  I never really had a peaceful, restful sleep.  Between the rain, wind, snow, and humans chasing me away, I never could enjoy a truly peaceful sleep. When I was caught by Cats Protection,  I began sleeping a little better, yet still not totally a restful sleep.  I mean on one side, I had a younger lad who constantly walked on his shelves all night.  I'd start to go to sleep and he'd jump to a lower shelf and on and on it went. I finally decided to fight fire with fire.  I'd wait till he finally settled down about 3:30 in the morning, so I started playing.  I threw all my toys around, even my litter box!  Every morning, my human caretakers would come in and wonder what I did all night.  They'd go about reorganizing my little shelter and by morning I'd have it torn up again. Proud Parents and Proud Son

I can't say it enough how lucky I was that I was found by people that loved cats.  And how grateful I am to them that they found me my human parents.  I am very proud to call them my parents,  They've shown me patience and love.  Loads and loads and loads of love. I also know how proud they are of me.  Mum send my godmother loads of photos of me.  My grandparents ask about me and mum's eyes just light up with pride when she speaks about me. We are a happy family!
